Water enters homes through pipes of the central water supply system. The pipes pass through the structures of the building (walls, roof, ceilings, etc.). There are weak points in the structures - thermal bridges. These are places where heat is lost and condensation forms. There are thermal bridges in every building, as a result of mistakes in design, construction and choice of insulation type and thickness.

For water supply systems in residential buildings, we recommend using RU-FLEX ST thermal insulation. This material has a unique closed pore structure, low thermal conductivity and resistance to water vapour transfer. These properties resolve the main problems of the water supply system: heat loss and condensate formation.

Nowadays, ventilated and air-conditioned rooms are standard for any building, whether residential, commercial, office, educational or other. Air-conditioning systems create the requisite level of comfort without which it is difficult to imagine modern buildings. To deliver the air at the required temperature, modern thermal insulation must be used. Most efficient in this temperature range is heat insulation made of RU-FLEX foam rubber. Undeniable advantages of RU-FLEX foam rubber insulation over any other solutions consists in it its invariable thermal characteristics during operation, durability, ease of installation and construction, along with its aesthetic appeal. RU-FLEX insulation protects system components against corrosion associated with condensation.

It is worth noting separately the sound-absorbing properties of RU-FLEX heat-and-noise insulation systems, which have proven themselves in operating modern facilities.

Calculation of insulation thickness for the supply ventilation system.

Initial data

  • Heat transfer medium: air
  • tо = 20 ˚С – temperature in the shopping center;
  • tm = -25 ˚С – temperature of the heat transfer medium in the duct, winter time;
  • ϑв = 4 м/с – velocity of the heat transfer medium;
  • ϕ = 60 % — relative humidity in the shopping center.

* If a ready-made thermal insulation solution is a construction consisting of two or more layers, it is recommended to use thermal insulation material ST with ALU coating.

Calculation of insulation thickness for the exhaust ventilation system

Initial data

  • Heat transfer medium: air
  • tm = +20 ˚С – temperature of the heat transfer medium in the duct;
  • tокр = -25 ˚С – ambient temperature (coldest five-day period (0.92) in Moscow);
  • ϑв = 4 м/с – coolant velocity;
  • φ = 80 % — relative humidity of the ambient air.

According to the technical specifications (TS), RU-FLEX outdoor installation is possible if coatings are used to protect the surface of the products from weathering.

Ventilation of apartment buildings according to SP (Construction Regulations) 60.13330.2012 is permitted with combustible materials of flammability group not lower than G1. In most cases, general ventilation systems in residential buildings are used.

The main purpose of foam rubber insulation in apartment buildings is to reduce mechanical and aerodynamic noise and to prevent condensation. For these purposes RU-FLEX VENT can be used, which is a good soundproofing material and at the same time prevents condensation. To meet the requirements for thermal insulation, RU-FLEX VENT has a flammability group G1.
